As Bruton Knowles continues its UK-wide expansion, the leading chartered surveying firm embarks on the further evolution of its National Teams, promoting a host of internally nurtured talent.

Reinforcing the development of the National Utilities & Infrastructure (U&I) Team, Gill Froud has been promoted to Partner after just six months as Head of Utilities & Infrastructure South (a new team created to meet increasing client demand). With experience in managing complex U&I contracts and effectively leading teams, Gill is continuing to add to the skills and expertise of the U&I team, having overseen the recent new opening of the Wimborne Office and, the development of a significant client portfolio, that includes Island Green Power, Exolum, BioSouth, National Grid, Network Rail, RWE and Bute Energy to name a few.

On her promotion, Gill commented: “Working environment and culture were key for me when I moved to Bruton Knowles, so I am pleased to have made internal strides within the company, fostering prosperous relationships and expanding to a new office in Wimborne, which is proving key to our further development in the South-West”.

Daniel Milton joins Gill in a string of U&I promotions, through his appointment to Associate. Joining the firm in May 2021 as a Land Rights Officer, Daniel qualified in 2022 and has since worked on complex U&I projects, forming strong client relationships along the way. As a mentor for colleagues undertaking the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC), Daniel has strengthened the team and, in addition, has been involved with the tendering process for new work.

Daniel commented: “Throughout my time at Bruton Knowles, I have always endeavoured to support the firm in every way I can, from providing support to colleagues looking to take the next step in their career, to providing our customary level of high expertise to clients and ensuring they receive the best possible service. I am pleased to take this next elevation within the business, in both my career and the firm's expansion.”

Rachel Holland completes the list of latest promotions from within the U&I team, moving into the role of Associate, with her rise through the business highlighting the strength of our Graduate scheme. Having joined Bruton Knowles in July 2018 as part of the Graduate Programme, Rachel qualified in 2020, before quickly being promoted to Senior Surveyor in July 2021. With a strong client base, Rachel manages several projects through the team and is a proactive surveyor, being involved in the tendering process and managing and mentoring colleagues through the APC.

Rachel commented: “Having established my skills and industry knowledge at Bruton Knowles over the past five years, I am pleased to take this next step into the role of Associate. From undertaking my own APC to leading colleagues through theirs, I have achieved so many milestones during my time with the firm, and I’m looking forward to continuing to support the team as my career continues to prosper with Bruton Knowles.”

Commenting on the various U&I promotions, Neil Young, HR Director at Bruton Knowles, said: “We have had the pleasure of making several promotions at different levels across the firm, with the latest proving testament to the expansion of, and demand for, the National Utilities & Infrastructure Team.

“These are well-deserved promotions, demonstrative of significant performance in relation to the leadership, investment and development of the business.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Gill, Daniel and Rachel for their contribution and continued effort to develop and grow the business.”
