National Chartered Surveyor firm, Bruton Knowles, has appointed John Amos as the firm's new Head of Rural Services. John, who has over 45 years' experience in the sector, will oversee both the Rural teams at Bruton Knowles, based predominately from the firm's Gloucester offcie and the John Amos & Co Leominster office. Bruton Knowles acquired the specialist rural practice, John Amos & Co, back in 2020.

John Amos comments: “We have progressively seen the Rural services team members at Bruton Knowles and at John Amos & Co working together more closely and collaboratively, and also alongside other national teams and departments within Bruton Knowles, particularly Land & Development. It seemed an obvious next move to bring the teams together to work on a closer partnership model and to that end, look at single management structure.

“This will provide a wider remit for our experienced specialists and career development opportunities for our junior staff members. The Business Development role will sit predominantly with me as we are seeing quite an uplift in enquiries from existing and new clients – from our South West heartland and now expanding north through The Midlands and further west across the Welsh border. We are already expecting a significant uplift in workload from the Rural Team this year.”
