Leading Chartered Surveying firm, Bruton Knowles, has promoted Nicholas Broadway to Senior Associate within the National Valuation Team. Part of the firm's ambitious plans to invest in the growth of its four National Teams.

Nicholas’ appointment comes alongside a string of internal promotions that sees Nicole Fitzpatrick promoted to Partner, Andrew Sellick promoted to Senior Associate and Will Matthews and Richard Smale's promotion to Associates.

He steps into the role following a nine-year career at Bruton Knowles that started as a Graduate Surveyor in 2013, bringing with him an abundance of knowledge and expertise that goes across both the markets and the firm, specialising in loan security valuations, as well undertaking valuations for charities, local authorities and for account purposes.

The appointment comes at a time of great innovation for Bruton Knowles as it drives forwards with its impressive digital transformation plans improving client project report turnaround times by 150%. Something that Nicholas, who will be covering the North of England, is keen to continue with.

Nicholas commented on his appointment: “After graduating from Northumbria University, I joined Bruton Knowles as a Graduate Surveyor. The training they provided, and the size of the firm were a real draw for me. From joining I was able to undertake a wide range of work on behalf of key clients, being trusted to work independently whilst supported by colleagues and partners, something I don’t feel would be on offer at other firms. The fact that we’re a national team with offices across the UK opens a lot of opportunities.

“I’m delighted to continue my career progression at Bruton Knowles in my new role as a Senior Associate as we push forward with the adoption of new technologies across our National Valuation Team. There have already been significant changes within the last three years, we’ve started to adapt with a range of technologies being implemented and have seen a lot of benefits for our clients. The surveying industry has been slow at times to advance with technology, but we’ve seen the benefit and I know as an industry it will play a huge role in our future.”

Bruton Knowles has 11 offices across the UK, offering its 200-plus staff members fully flexible working from any location whether that be in the office, on-site or at home.

Nicholas continued: “The thing I enjoy most about working at Bruton Knowles is being on-site and meeting a variety of new people. Alongside the flexibility to plan your diary, working within your own area, with the wider support from the team whether that’s out the office or at your desk.”

Ian Pitt, Head of Bruton Knowles’ National Valuation Team, said: “It is wonderful to see Nicholas promoted to a Senior Associate, from joining as a Graduate Surveyor he has been a real asset to the team and an example of how important career development is at Bruton Knowles.”
