Bruton Knowles Spearheads Planning and Land Development in Gloucester
Bruton Knowles’ Planning and Land Development team has sold an impressive £56m worth of land in just 12 months, all which will contribute to the delivery of 1,240 much-needed homes across Gloucestershire.
This impressive figure has meant that £164m worth of residential development land – both brownfield and greenfield – has now been sold by the Gloucester-based team since 2016.
Each parcel of development land will now allow for much-needed open market and affordable homes to be built across Gloucester, with some already under construction. This includes 74 new dwellings in Twigworth, after Bruton Knowles secured a £4.64m sale, 90 dwellings in Cam, Dursley following a £5.47m sale and 465 dwellings in Churchdown which was sold for an undisclosed sum.
Scott Winnard is a Partner in the Planning and Land Development team at Bruton Knowles in Gloucester. He said: “There continues to be a shortage of housing in Gloucestershire and therefore the market for development opportunities in the region has remained strong. It has provided the ideal opportunity for Bruton Knowles to offer landowners advice and expertise regarding valuation, viability and planning applications.
“This has allowed us to further complete the sale of eight parcels of land on behalf of private, corporate, charity and local authority clients within a year, securing notable sales transactions worth more than £56m.”
